Support our Mission of Charitable Care
All proceeds from the Art & Soup Charity Event go to the CNS charitable care and programming. CNS is dedicated to providing compassionate care, regardless of a person's ability to pay. Thanks to our donors (you!), we can say 'yes' to patients without insurance or the ability to pay.
Every day we receive requests for Charitable Care on behalf of those in need. The stories below illustrate the impact of funds raised through the Art & Soup Charity Event:
After weeks in the hospital, a young pediatric patient was finally ready to go home, but not without a lifeline. Due to a two-month lapse in Medicaid coverage, the family was left scrambling, unable to afford the equipment that keeps their child nourished and safe. A modest charitable request of $210 was submitted to cover 15 days of feeding supplies, a small but critical bridge until insurance coverage resumed. This support meant peace of mind for a family already overwhelmed, and a chance for their child to continue care in the comfort of their home without interruption or fear.
At Davis County Hospital, a patient with end-stage renal failure received the most difficult news: they have just one month to live. Uninsured and ineligible for Medicaid or Medicare, they faced their final days without access to hospice care and without the comfort, dignity, and support every person should receive at the end of life. CNS stepped in with one month of charitable hospice services. Providing pain relief, emotional support, and compassionate presence, the patient died peacefully, surrounded by professionals who treated them with respect and compassion. It’s not just about easing suffering, it’s about ensuring no one faces death alone or in distress.
