Our Mission
We create exceptional moments and experiences that heal individuals and families by providing compassionate care and by putting health, dignity, comfort, and well-being first. We are a non-profit organization, and it is our privilege to serve you and the communities in which we live.
CNS HISTORY
CNS was established in 1928 to provide nursing care for sick people in their homes as an alternative to hospitalization. CNS began as a voluntary non-profit agency when the existing Visiting Nursing Association of Salt Lake and the Private Duty Registry were combined. In 1930, Salt Lake Community Nursing Services became a participating agency of the Community Chest, later to be known as United Way.
Today, we employ over 550 associates in 9 locations from Logan to St. George.
Community Nursing Services strives to embrace individual uniqueness and foster an environment where each person feels valued and empowered with a sense of belonging. We value inclusion as a core strength and an essential element of our Mission to put health, dignity, comfort and well-being first.
