Honor Salute Program Volunteers Needed!

The CNS Honor Salute program honors CNS hospice patients who served our nation in the armed forces. Honor Salute veteran volunteers visit the hospice patient in their home and conduct a formal salute ceremony, presenting the veteran with a plaque, military service lapel pin, and an American flag. The CNS Honor Salute Program was launched in 2016 by CNS volunteer Technical Sergeant Garry Bell, who recognized the need to honor veterans while they live rather than only at the graveside.

Our dear friend Garry passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer on July 9th, and we don’t want this important program to die with him.

We are seeking highly engaged veteran volunteers throughout Utah to help coordinate and plan Honor Salute Ceremonies in their area. Are you interested in supporting this program, or do you know someone who might be? If so, please complete an interest form by clicking the button below.
